These fun, informative and interactive workshops and are designed to teach us how sustainable gardening practices can save you time, money, water and angst, while also helping to attract birds and other wildlife to your gardens.

Josh will help set the scene at the beginning of each workshop and help participants understand the impact of excessive nutrients on the Swan-Canning river system and the role that RiverWise gardeners can play in helping the rivers. The workshops will also cover:

Garden Design

  • Hydrozoning and 'soil and nutrient' zoning
  • Plant selection
  • Irrigation design and management

Understanding Your Soil

  • Soil testing
  • Improving soil

Effective and Responsible Fertiliser Use

  • Fertiliser alternatives
  • Application
