Drainage Livability Planting EventOct 11
Calling River Guardians to help revegetate the Helena River at Mundaring Weir.
Location: Meet in the car park near the Weir Education Centre, below the dam wall (see map attached)
Wear: Closed in shoes, hat and clothes appropriate for the weather and working outdoors
Bring: Gardening gloves, hand trowel and water bottle, gum boots are optional
We have plenty of sedges to plant along the creekline which can sometimes get a little wet in places so gumboots are optional. We also recommend long pants which can be tucked into socks to minimise ant bites. We will have sun screen and insect repellent on site and have an assortment of trowels and some gardening gloves spare. Morning tea will be provided and lunch will be a sausage sizzle. To assist with catering please confirm attendance.
Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org by 12noon, Thursday 10th of October.
This is a partnership project with the Water Corporation and is part of the Drainage for Livability program aimed at improving water quality for tributaries of the Swan Canning river system.
