Report a river emergency

To report an:

•     algal bloom
•     fish kill
•     pollution, or
•     other environmental incident affecting the Swan Canning Riverpark,

contact the Department's Riverpark Unit on 9219 0900 or their afterhours number 9278 0981.

Take note of the location, colour of the water, odour from the water, types of dead fish you can see or the possible pollution source, and call the Riverpark Unit immediately.

For your safety, do not touch discoloured water or dead fish.

Everyone has a responsibility to help care for the Swan Canning Riverpark.

Although the Department monitors the rivers regularly, a member of the public will often notice a problem first.
