We congratulate Myra Hind on becoming our 500th River Guardians member, and welcome her to the program.
 
Myra lives in Ferndale near the Kent Street Weir were she regularly enjoys walking and cycling. Myra also enjoys kayaking with friends on the Swan and Canning rivers.

Myra recently acquired her Skippers Ticket, and spends much of her leisure time in, on and around the rivers. Myra said she was keen to be involved with River Guardians so she could “give a little back”. 

An environmentally-minded colleague encouraged Myra to join River Guardians and passed on a membership form. Myra received an official 500th member pack, which was presented to her in June 2009 at the World Environment Day - Planting for the Community event.
