Minister welcomes dolphin and estuary report

Environment and Water Minister Bill Marmion has welcomed the findings and recommendations of the expert group established last year to investigate the state of dolphin and estuarine health in Western Australia.

Swan River dolphin deaths investigated

The death of six dolphins in the Swan River in 2009 highlighted the fragility of our resident dolphin community and the extent of community concern for the dolphins and the health of the river.

The Trust together with the Department of Environment and Conservation are working in collaboration with Curtin and Murdoch universities to investigate six dolphin deaths in the Swan Canning Riverpark.
