About Us

River Guardians keep the rivers healthy by getting involved with the protection and restoration of the Swan Canning Riverpark. Becoming a Guardian gives you an opportunity to connect with other friends of the rivers across the catchment. This includes from Fremantle up to Chittering and Bindoon in the north, past Armadale in the south and through the Swan Valley into the Avon.

Members share ideas and knowledge, take part in river events, enjoy networking and receive training to understand the rivers, their cultural heritage, and how to protect them. Free events, a quarterly newsletter, networking, volunteering and training opportunities are provided. Members can be involved as little or as much as they would like.

River Guardians are identified by a colourful black swan symbol because they are the iconic guardians of our rivers.
